Elite Training Program Plan U-5/6/7 (Mini Kickers) 2025-2026
Program Description
The Elite Training Program prides itself on providing the highest quality training, staff and facilities in a fun environment. Most importantly we have created a player-centered approach where coaches look to expand ideas, team concepts and create the competitive culture needed to withstand the highest levels of soccer.
The U5/6/7 Elite Training Program is the first of a four-part series that concludes at the age of U12. The programs’ overall design is implemented to create the technical, tactical, physical and psychosocial abilities needed to become an Elite Soccer Athlete.
At its core the Mini Kickers Program will provide the socio-psychological guidance for young children to fall in love with soccer and let the game provide a high standard of education alongside the influence of high-quality teaching while having fun. Players will participate in a pool training environment alongside numerous other children where they get to interact and develop their social skills. They will be placed in groups of 12 players each according to their level of play.
As they graduate the Mini Kickers, our players will be able to handle the ball with their dominant foot and both hands; they will start to understand to occupy their original position after an action is finished, they will be able to run and stop with and without the ball; they will have some basic coordinated movements with and without the ball, they will be able to recognize to move forward when attacking and to retreat when they must defend. They will also be introduced to all technical aspects. All games will be completely designed for joy, competition, and the creation of love for the game. At the same time, children shall learn by doing. The game is the best teacher.
Come grow with us.
Fact: Children at this age have a very limited attention span and are very self-centered.

FutSAL
Elite Training Program Plan U-7 thru u12
Program Description
The Elite Training Program tries to provide its players with the best tools to become “all around” quality players. This includes operating different surfaces of play, different rules, and even different balls. Therefore, the program will offer two 2-month Futsal programs (1 in fall and one in spring).
Futsal is a sport that many regions in the United States are still unaware about as well as its benefits for young players. Futsal is the only “Official form of Indoor Soccer” approved by FIFA. The game is played all around the world with millions of players participating in over 100 countries. Futsal is supposed to be played in an indoor environment such as an indoor court, turf-covered hockey arenas, or skating rinks. Hypothetically the field is to have regular boundaries without any walls being allowed to be used. However, the ideal environment for young players is surrounded by walls. This eliminates boundaries and the game will have no stoppages except goals and fouls resulting in better flowing game which usually also increases in speed.
There are many modern superstars that brought a high futsal influence on the professional game like Ronaldinho, Neymar, or Robinho. This form of soccer is a great skill developer as it is played in extremely tight spaces, requiring a fast reaction speed, accelerated thought processing, and excellent passing quality.
Experiencing the game of soccer with these above-named differences and the unique style of soccer the players of the Elite Training Program will improve their technical skills, fast decision-making skills, creativity, and involvement in the game. Therefore, we highly recommend it to all players participating in the program.

Elite Training Program Plan
Program Description
Weston Select has grown in various ways since its inaugural season in 2015. As the first teams started graduating from our ETP program into U13 and older teams, a need for physical development at the older ages has emerged. Teams that train at a higher ratio and intensity need to be physically prepared to avoid injuries and allow faster recovery. Therefore, Weston Select introduced the Conditioning Program for individual players and entire teams.
Between 2006 and 2025 the physical demands of the game have almost doubled. When a player used to run 6-8 kilometers per game 20 years ago, today it is common for players to run more than 14 kilometers per game. Today players also play almost 3 times as many matches per year as 30 years ago. Lastly, the reaction speed increased from 1.5 seconds of time to react to an impulse in the game to 0.5 seconds of time to do so today. This development requires players to be in top shape and follow strict nutritional plans and recovery methods. At Weston Select we educate our players about the latter two, but the only one we really have an influence on is the physical “soccer shape” our players are in.
During the 2022-2023 season Weston Select offered an individual conditioning program for players for the first time. Over the last 3 seasons we have fine tuned what we offered and added mental development as well as nutritioning to this program, now called the Zero Program. Any player that understands the need for physical and mental development, has the opportunity to attend these classes twice every week. We also introduced various team programs that can be customized to a team’s needs.
As explained and introduced during the Agility and Speed program, players must be developed physically very early in a correct way. This includes hand, eye, foot coordination, running technique, balance, explosiveness, and agility. Starting at U13 this shall also include general and game specific conditioning and strength training alongside further developing the above named physical attributes.
The program designed will help players develop the age appropriate physical attributes at the correct time in a professional environment. We have made the experiences in the past that young players, who are additionally physically trained, experience many improvements that even include their ball handling skills.
The Elite Training Program Directors are highly recommending the enrollment in this program.
Coaching
The environment is led by the Technical Director and the Director of Coaching as well as the Weston Select Specialist for Conditioning and Physical Development Marcos Cerutti.

Weston Select U13-U18
Elite SKILLS Plan
Program Description
The Weston Select teams have been created as a steppingstone for inspiring Division 1. These teams are created to develop and nurture players that are working to better their physical, technical, tactical, or psychological attributes to meet and reach whatever goals they set for themselves including reaching and getting to an academy or Division 1 level. We will provide the opportunity and space for them through our year-round training and competitive environment. The players will be embedded in a fun, competitive, and learning experience in which they will not only learn about soccer, but about teamwork, respect, communication, and other important social aspects of life.
Each age group will be working within a structure as set forth by their age specific curriculum, which will be enforced by the coaches assigned to the team. Ranging from advanced technical skills and group tactical training in the U13 and 14 age groups, to the deep technical learning stage, advanced group tactical learning stage, and the introduction of team tactical training from the U15’s onto the U18’s.
Players will even further deepen their soccer skills and experience through additional programs like futsal or speed and agility training. During these programs, they will be able to develop aspects of their game that often get left behind due to the need of “training soccer” during practice time, which is very limited.
Additionally, each team will be visited and “guest-trained” by the Technical Director and Director of Coaching to ensure the highest standard of training. Players will also be offered to join video analysis and board sessions scheduled by the club to advance players’ soccer understanding and tactical knowledge. This also allows them to analyze mistakes better and reflect on their own performances in a more objective manner.
Amount of Training
3 times per week (or according to team level). Programs like skills training or conditioning shall be offered additionally.
Coaching
Teams shall get a professional coach and potentially a volunteer coach assigned to their team. The entire structure is overseen, and coaches are assigned by the Directors, Tom Mulroy and Jan Wiechmann.
Competition
Teams will sign up for a league that will qualify them to participate in FYSA sanctioned tournaments like State Cup or a league that fits their needs. Additionally, teams will play 4-6 tournaments a season (August-May). The tournaments are chosen by the team coaches and the directors together.
Price
$1950
Competitions: approximately $950
Gear
2 game kits (shirt, shorts, socks), 2 practice shirts
Game gear needs to be paid extra!!!! (around $250)
Additional programs like the Zero-Conditioning program will be offered at the cost of $50 per month.
